Do I get a certificate after completing?

Westland Trades College prepares students to write and pass the Red Seal exam. Certification is granted by the provincial or territorial authority after successfully passing the exam.

What trades do you train for?

We currently offer training in high-demand trades in electrical and it align with Red Seal exam expectations and provide practical, 
work-ready knowledge..

What are the class timings?

Classes are typically scheduled on weekdays during regular working hours. Exact timing may vary slightly depending on the course and batch, but they’re designed to fit the rhythm.

Who are the instructors?

All instructors at Westland Trades College are experienced professionals with Red Seal certification. They bring years of real-world trade experience into the classroom

Do I need prior experience to enroll?

No prior experience is required for most of our entry-level trade programs. Whether you’re starting fresh or switching careers, the training is built to take you step by step

Can I take the course online?

Our training is fully in-person to ensure students gain the hands-on skills and safety knowledge needed in real trades environments. So everything happens face-to-face

How long does the training take?

Course duration depends on the trade and your starting experience. On average, programs run for several weeks to a few months, with each one carefully paced to master the skills

Is there job placement support?

While we do not guarantee job placement, we offer strong guidance on career planning, resume preparation, and interview readiness. Many of our students go on to find work quickly

What is the Red Seal Exam?

The Red Seal Exam is a nationally recognized certification test that validates your trade skills across Canada. Passing it means you’re officially qualified to work in your trade

What should I bring to class?

We recommend coming prepared with basic tools, safety gear (like steel-toe boots and eye protection), and a notebook and you’ll receive a checklist before your first day.
